How would you like to recruit 20 people in 30 days? That may sound like a lot, but it is possible. Several times during my career, I would go on a recruiting binge and get 20 new people in 30 days. In fact, as I look back I would say that the majority of my returns came from the five or six times when I did one of those binges. When I talk to other million dollars earners, they often say that if they were to track where their success came from, it was during those moments where they had a burst of energy, took all of their efforts, and condensed it down to a short period of time.
Some people say slow and steady wins the race. But I say that in Network Marketing, slow and steady kills you. You need to be the rabbit for a period of time, and then the turtle with consistent effort and training.
So, why should you want to recruit 20 people in 30 days? Well, if you really want to succeed this year, I suggest you start by bringing in the class of 2017 soon. You already have your existing team, but bring in that new and fresh team. The fresh group will do more to inspire your existing team than any amount of talking you do.

I want to discuss how to talk to prospects. So many people go out and immediately want to give prospects every fact and figure about the product, compensation plan, company, etc. In my opinion, this strategy is jumping the gun.
In order to get someone who is focused on something else to potentially consider what you have, you first have to get them to open their mind a bit. I’ve hear about and used a lot of different techniques to achieve this over the years. The best way I’ve found, is to act like a consultant.
If you act like a consultant, instead of a sales person, you’re going to build more trust and have a better conversation. Consultants ask questions to try to figure out the situation, and a key strategy is to talk to people about entrepreneurship – not your product, compensation plan, or company. So, ask them, “Have you ever gone into business for yourself?” Their answer will affect how you go forward.
If they say, “No, I haven’t because they’ve never really had a desire,” then they may be employee minded. This is important to figure out up front because you don’t want to push an employee minded person to be an entrepreneur. In this week’s video, Eric answers the ultimate question: what do we call what we do? Some call it Direct Selling or Multi-Level Marketing (MLM). And some call it Network Marketing. Right now, we are confusing the world. The only way we can tell people what we do is by naming a certain company. “We’re like that company,” we say. We need to have a standard that describes the channel of distribution we represent.
So, what do we actually do? Ultimately, we sell products to consumers using word of mouth advertising. This is accomplished with three basic strategies. First, we personally go out and sell the products or services to consumers. Second, we build and expand a network of other distributors who do the same thing. And third, we apply leadership to that network to improve productivity of our network. That is what we do. So, how can we describe that in a term?
MLM is, in Eric’s opinion, a terrible term. All that the term describes is that you can get more than one level from network building. But it doesn’t talk about sales, leadership, or expanding the network. MLM only touches on one little aspect of the compensation plan. Direct Selling is also, in Eric’s opinion, a terrible term. In this week’s Network Marketing Pro show, Eric Worre discusses how to keep momentum going in your business and how to get “unstuck”.
There is much talk in network marketing about taking massive action, making big goals, hitting big numbers, and big recruiting, but sometimes you might just get stuck and lose momentum, and the next thing you know, you have a lost day. Sometimes a lost day turns into more than one lost day, and that turns into lost opportunity.
Eric explains that to best break this pattern, you just need to do one thing and get that win. If you just do one thing every day in the pursuit of the growth of your business, you will find yourself in a new rhythm and developing belief and confidence to be able to build on that. What you don’t want to happen is to have lost days accumulate without stopping them.
Eric teaches us that once you get a little bit of momentum, you’ll find yourself on track and more productive. Once you get our momentum going, then give you can it a major burst for a week, month, or 90 days in order to be able to create radical results and success in your business.

I have recruited over 400 people on social media, mostly Facebook. My goal every single day is to start new conversations and then follow up with the old ones.
A lot of people know that social media is great for recruiting, but when it comes to what they say, people do it so wrong. They post something to someone they don’t even know very well and immediately ask them if they want to join their team. That’s the wrong way to do it.
Instead, one of the more successful ways is to beat around the bush and spend time fostering the relationship before bringing up your opportunity. Another way is to go bold and just start the conversation.
In my organization, we use the 3 C’s.
Now, this strategy can be spammy if you don’t use it correctly. You have to be genuine and use it intentionally with people you have some sort of connection with already.

Today, I want to talk about a principal for growing your Network Marketing business that is very important: increasing the number of quality and qualified presenters in your organization.
I’m a huge fan and a big believer in using third-party tools whenever possible, but sometimes what’s necessary to expand an organization and give it more stability is to increase the number of presenters in your organization. Typically, an organization will have a few presenters who do all of the presentations. Everybody else just brings people to the presentations, and those few presenters do all of the talking. But the presenters are actually the ones getting the most out of it. An amazing thing happens when you present because the student hears it one time while the presenter hears it over and over again. And as the presenter says that words over and over, it builds their belief, confidence, and self-esteem.
For me, learning to be a presenter was a dramatic confidence booster for a number of different reasons.
1. I felt ready to tell the story whether or not I had a tool in front of me.
2. I could help my team by telling the story for them. I could be that third-party resource.

Your boss in Network Marketing should be your calendar. When I’m coaching people, the first thing I ask is for them to show me their calendar.
I want to see that you are employing yourself. I want to see the hour you’ve scheduled to prospect, follow up, close, get people started, train and communicate with your team, etc.
I once saw a documentary on Joan Rivers, one of the most prolific and hard-working women in comedy. And in the documentary, she asked if they wanted to see what terror looked like, and she opened up her calendar to a page that was empty.
The page before was all filled, and Joan said, “That brings me joy. That means I’m out there doing my thing in the world.”
An empty calendar should be terrorizing to you. And yet most of you don’t even have one!
If you have a calendar filled with specific activities…you’re going to win. If you’re just winging it…I can guess your income and your bank balance.
I’m not saying you have to be full time. I’m saying in the time that you have, you have to be efficient.
